Introducing Maahes...

I seem to luck out with doing a quick tour for rare pets before work as I came across Sambas this morning and quickly added to my collection.

Maahes was an ancient Egyptian lion-headed god of war, whose name means "he who is true beside her".

85

Syx reached 85 tonight after a long day of questing as I had just hit 84 before logging yesterday.

It definitely was fun questing in Uldam. Twilight, from what I have seen so far, isn't as entertaining or interesting to me as Uldam.

More to come...

Level Up (x2)

Syx reached lvl 81 this weekend and is very close to 82 actually as I write this.

Right now I am camping out for Terrorpene (lvl 81 Elite Rare Fire Turtle). Hopefully I will be able to snag him at some point over the next day or so here so that I may continue to reach 85.

*** UPDATE ***

Terrorpene is now mine. I have yet to decide a name, but do have a few ideas in mind.

I logged in while everyone was in a meeting at work and poof, he was right there.

Popped an elixir, corehound ability and deterence and 1/2 my health later he was by my side.

Another spirit beast down...

While on my way back from doing a quest, npcscan starts going off and I look down below and there is Gondria just waiting to be tamed. While I am happy to add to the collection, I am now 3 quest short of the 100 achievement for Zul'Drak and have to rely on my guild to help me complete the amphitheater chain in order to accomplish my goal.

Oh and this little guy dropped while I was questing today as well. So now I also have a new little companion.

Worgen no more...

As of this morning, I have updated Syx to be a human female instead of the worgen. I can't really put my finger on what bothered me about the worgen, but I had originally wanted a human hunter, so now the change is made.

Went out looking for Gondria this morning figured I would try my luck again but to no avail.

Hopefully I can hit 78 tonight, and 80 by the end of the weekend.

Early bird gets the spirit beast

One benefit of waking up crazy early for work is that I can quickly fly through some zones and see if any rare spawns are up. This morning I was fortunate enough to find Loque'nahak as Syx just hit 76 yesterday and figured it was worth a shot.

Updates...

...I have been a little busy and actually had almost forgotten about this site. But now I am back and back to playing WoW almost as much as I used to, so why not detail some of my journeys.

As you can see at the bottom of the page, I am currently leveling 2 hunters a worgren and a goblin. The worgren is leveling up to eventually raid with my friends guild and the goblin is another friend who is very casual at playing.

I also have my shaman whom at some point I will get him up to 85, but for now he rest. Of course I still have my 80 warlock, and a few chars in their 70's.

***
Syx : After camping out for about 20 hours combined over Friday and Saturday, I was able to tame my first spirit beast:

He is named for the Egyptian God of the Moon. As most my pets for both my hunters are named after Egyptian Gods. Partially because I am interested in that culture for the Ancient Egyptians and also because I have been watching Stargate SG1 for the past few weeks (seasons 1-10) and it is all about that.

Next is to continue leveling Syx so that by February I am ready to start raiding.

Level 69

Sorrow has been busy this past week reaching level 69 and also leveling up tailoring so that she can make a few pieces of epic armor upon reaching 70.

level 65

Sorrow reached my goal of 65 for her this weekend as I just finished up running Underbog and Slave Pens back to back.

She also has all the mats needed to try to get her epic mount, which I hope to do sometime this week.

Ok...It is really late for me...later.

Level 63

Sorrow completed the last quest she had in Blood Furnace last night with a rather smooth run for a PuG.

I am hoping to get her epic Warlock mount sometime this week, but am not sure if I will be able to find people willing to help as most people are concerned with the new season of arena matches.

Warlock Quest Fun!

Sorrow reached 62 over the holiday weekend and is on the last part of her epic mount warlock quest.

Hopefully I can get a little help and will be able to get this done sometime this week.

She also joined a new guild, although I am not sure how long she will stay. But for now at least she is a part of something again.

Also, the image below for Sorrow is messed up as the armory seems to be having difficulties updating my guild affiliation. I signed the charter for bankers weeks ago and immediately quit, but the armory seems to be stuck.

Level 60

Sorrow reached 60 yesterday and so far is doing quite well in Outlands.

Did you happen to catch the 2 new wow commercials? I doubt that Mr.T plays, but I have read reports that Shatner plays. Either way it just shows how mainstream WoW has become with the Toyota commercial and now celebrity spots.

Happy Turkey Day!

Outlands it is!

Sorrow ventured into Outlands, after respec'd to have Felguard, and let me tell you what a difference in classes it is to quest in HellFire.

Sorrow seems to have little to know problems taking on the orcs and boars whereas Saphryn and even Shockadelica seemed to have a few issues with taking on some of these mobs alone.

Sorrow seems to kill them rather quickly and move on as she hit 59 tonight in about 2 hours of play tonight after just hitting 58 yesterday. I have already replaced her weapons, chest piece and pants since questing as the rewards for squishies seems to be a bit better than they were for my warrior.

Hopefully tomorrow she can hit 60 then start working on the epic mount questline sometime in the near future.

Outlands or not...

Sorrow reached 58 and now I am left with the decision to either venture into the Outlands or not.

I am not quite sure which way I will go as I am anxious to continue to level and reach 70 before X-mas. That and I am really not sure if I want to stay affliction based too.

BTW...BRD == Complete. I was invited to a group that had only downed the first boss and we finished the instance rather easily as there were 2 mages, druid, paladin and Sorrow (a warlock).

BRD != Complete

After hitting 55 with Sorrow, she received an invite to run BRD. Not having run that instance in a good while, I accepted and so the hunt for a tank and/or healer began.

After about 30-45 minutes a group was filled and we were good to go. Unfortunately the first of many wipes occurred within the first 3 pulls. This seemed to be the start of a pattern as with every little bit of ground gained a wipe was sure to follow. I mean at the end we even wiped with a 70 paladin helping us, as our group lost a member along the way, he was very gracious to come try to salvage what was left of this run. But a bad pull meant that even with a 70 helping, this run was doomed.

In the end we ended up, and forgive me for not remembering the name of this event, at the point where you are in a room and I believe 7 mobs come at you one at a time. Since the Paladin had to run, the rest of us decided one more last fight before calling it quits. I believe we downed 2 of the 7, but were overcome as they released faster.

The one good thing about playing a Warlock is my repair bill was only 2g, and that was with most of my gear either at 5% or worse.

After 2.3

Sorrow adventured into Western Plaguelands briefly last night as she had just hit 54 before the 2.3 patch had dropped. She had already done 3 of the 4 Cauldron quest, so I figured she could try to finish this up and see how much xp the new patch would grant.

Along the way she had picked up the Torch quest, so might as well knock that one out as well. I know that the xp gain from 2.3 is only for quest, but in her encounters last night she took down a 56 elite "Stitches WannaBe" and gained 1458 xp from the kill. While she does have rested xp, this seemed to really be quite a bit for one mob kill.

She gained 13k for completing all the cauldron quest and is currently just over 60% through lvl 54. I believe that 9k was the reward for doing the torch quest, either way the next few levels should be quite easy now with the change in place.

Overall I am very pleased with the amount of xp gained from both the quest and mobs, but again I am not certain that the mobs give more xp, but either way she should definitely hit 55 and be close to 56 after tonight.

2.3 and me...

Sorrow reached 54 last night and is the only character I am focusing on currently as I strive to get her to 70 before X-Mas.

While I may stop and play my priest or mage just to see the differences, most of my reports here will be from Sorrow's perspective.

The basic idea for this site is that I will post as my characters as an attempt to do something a little different then my normal post on my other site.

I will also include my characters class icon when talking about each one to help kinda of differentiate between them.

So until next time...

And so it begins...

...or at least it would seem.
