Success!

Busy weekend for myself and 'Security'.

I have leveled up herbalism and alchemy to 480 & 369 respectively while also obtaining several key parts of the Explorer achievement. I believe I just have a couple WoLTK zones as well as 2 Cataclysm zones to complete now for the achievement and title for exploring.

Last nights raid yielded hard fought victories over:

Omnotron Defense System (screenshot above)
Valiona and Theralion (forgot to take screenshot)

Unfortunately, I died early on in the Omnotron fight and like a true huntard released and
missed the credit for the take down.

After that we cleared some trash, then proceeded into Bastion of Twilight for many many
attempts at Valiona and Theralion. As the clock was ticking down to the end of the raid,
we were able to down both on what most thought would be our last attempt without
any major issues.

After looking at my stats in the raid where I could just stand still and fire versus having
to move around, I really need to look into understanding how to get the max dps I can
whilst on the move.

Oh, and Syx also now has 3 epic pieces. 2 crafted by a guild mate (chest, belt)
and 1 by rep (feet).

Good times

Syx has 2 pieces of epic now (feet, chest, belt [soon just need materials]) and over the past week my iLevel has risen quite nicely as I run more heroics and continue to raid.

I did have a random world epic drop for me the other day, but it was for a paladin and since my paladin is on another server and probably months from being 85, I decided to sell it and made some nice coin for myself.

I also finally started on professions as this entire time I had none. I chose alchemy and herbalism as the guild could use another. So far it is not bad. I mean having epic flying helps a lot with gathering everything.

pug rage

Seriously people. Calm down. Count to ten.

Just starting to run Heroics and have only had the pleasure of a couple non guild runs and let me tell you that people just need to relax a little bit.

Running a random yesterday with a friend, we had someone leave the group after a wipe because the healer did not run back. Not that the presence of the healer would have made any difference by the time they got to us mind you.

After that, a mage replaced that person and the group went on without any issues. Even when we wiped on a bad pull that could or could not be blamed on a certain hunter. The jury is still out on that one. But everyone else just laughed that one off and finished the dungeon with no other issues.

So just take a deep breath everyone.

Dungeons

After playing my paladin for a little bit, I have decided to get Syx ready for raiding and ran my first dungeon last night which yielded me a new ring, and pair of boots.

While I am having fun playing Keveena, I also do want to see end game content and spend some time building up my gear on at least 1 character.

Introducing Maahes...

I seem to luck out with doing a quick tour for rare pets before work as I came across Sambas this morning and quickly added to my collection.

Maahes was an ancient Egyptian lion-headed god of war, whose name means "he who is true beside her".

85

Syx reached 85 tonight after a long day of questing as I had just hit 84 before logging yesterday.

It definitely was fun questing in Uldam. Twilight, from what I have seen so far, isn't as entertaining or interesting to me as Uldam.

More to come...

Level Up (x2)

Syx reached lvl 81 this weekend and is very close to 82 actually as I write this.

Right now I am camping out for Terrorpene (lvl 81 Elite Rare Fire Turtle). Hopefully I will be able to snag him at some point over the next day or so here so that I may continue to reach 85.

*** UPDATE ***

Terrorpene is now mine. I have yet to decide a name, but do have a few ideas in mind.

I logged in while everyone was in a meeting at work and poof, he was right there.

Popped an elixir, corehound ability and deterence and 1/2 my health later he was by my side.

Another spirit beast down...

While on my way back from doing a quest, npcscan starts going off and I look down below and there is Gondria just waiting to be tamed. While I am happy to add to the collection, I am now 3 quest short of the 100 achievement for Zul'Drak and have to rely on my guild to help me complete the amphitheater chain in order to accomplish my goal.

Oh and this little guy dropped while I was questing today as well. So now I also have a new little companion.

Worgen no more...

As of this morning, I have updated Syx to be a human female instead of the worgen. I can't really put my finger on what bothered me about the worgen, but I had originally wanted a human hunter, so now the change is made.

Went out looking for Gondria this morning figured I would try my luck again but to no avail.

Hopefully I can hit 78 tonight, and 80 by the end of the weekend.

Early bird gets the spirit beast

One benefit of waking up crazy early for work is that I can quickly fly through some zones and see if any rare spawns are up. This morning I was fortunate enough to find Loque'nahak as Syx just hit 76 yesterday and figured it was worth a shot.

Updates...

...I have been a little busy and actually had almost forgotten about this site. But now I am back and back to playing WoW almost as much as I used to, so why not detail some of my journeys.

As you can see at the bottom of the page, I am currently leveling 2 hunters a worgren and a goblin. The worgren is leveling up to eventually raid with my friends guild and the goblin is another friend who is very casual at playing.

I also have my shaman whom at some point I will get him up to 85, but for now he rest. Of course I still have my 80 warlock, and a few chars in their 70's.

Syx : After camping out for about 20 hours combined over Friday and Saturday, I was able to tame my first spirit beast:

He is named for the Egyptian God of the Moon. As most my pets for both my hunters are named after Egyptian Gods. Partially because I am interested in that culture for the Ancient Egyptians and also because I have been watching Stargate SG1 for the past few weeks (seasons 1-10) and it is all about that.

Next is to continue leveling Syx so that by February I am ready to start raiding.
